Creativity

I think creativity is not trying to do something in an exact formulated way, but going about it however you want to do it and having fun. To use a cliché it's about 'thinking outside of the box'.

You can be more creative by not always thinking there's a right and a wrong way to do things and not being influenced by what others do all the time. Being creative can also be achieved by enjoying smaller things in life, like nature or emotions.

Creativity is something very personal to everyone and comes from inside.

In order for a media product to be individual and unique it's important to use your own creativity to produce it. Otherwise it would just be boring and repetitive because all media would be exactly the same.

Creativity in education- Sir Ken Robinson
  • Creativity depends on being prepared to be wrong in order you be original.
  • Creativity is having original ideas that have value
  • I do agree that schools don't promote creativity, because they are always telling you what's right and what's wrong, as if there's no other answers. But I also think everyone can be creative, even if they don't realise it, and so I don't believe schools can just destroy the creativity within someone; it will always be there, even if they are reluctant to use it.
